Kindred Spirits

by Peggie Eng

We are of kindred spirits, of the same mind, cut
from the same cloth, born of the Outter banks
The sea swells romantically in our minds the sounds
of the soul of our hearts
We need not speak our minds understand with out mention
of sweet utterances
We just know who we are and where our hearts belong
placed by God
Forever strong we belong..

01/11/2010

Author's Note: Sometimes we just know where we belong we are placed with no effort from God.

This flo-lo-lo-lo-lowssssss beautifully. The way you've rhymed this is very appealing. This work perfectly embodies the grace of which it tells, and whispers along like the gentle crests of the ocean.

I've spent many summer vacations on the Outer Banks in North Carolina, and while I don't know whether these are the ones to which you allude, this captured them beautifully--an impressive feat.
