The catastrophic beast that is simple
simplicity waits for your gown trails
to wander off onto some foreign land
forested with thick and green mossy
with touches of caterpillar dance

Events unfold this summer as decisions
present attention like a folded flag salute
in the matters of spirit your center knows
direction spiraling into force behold
entropy exists as enthralled obsessions

Make justice appear how smiles you forget
move from mythic to the corners-of-your-mouth
it is love this emanation singing sparrow song
perched on your tree branch our destiny
as we are live oaks with winding roots

Entwined in this pursuit of family and future
promise is the marriage and relationship is key
our friendship comes first like an affinity glance
how recognized each face to white room walls
the center of the universe this dance befalls.
