Sea Of Silent Quietude by Michael DefriesOils of annointment
A spiritual life
But what gets you along
In this life?
It is the quietude
Of walking,
Riding.
The innocence.
It is some silence
From within the silence...
The soul is quiet.
Whisper fantasia
And idealist realms
Of living
And belief in a child’s laughter.
And cry tears of sorrow.
For life is self-restorative,
And self replenished.
And nurture,
And whisper,
Tones of kindred spirit voices
Sing a song.
Of quietude, laughter, and sorrow.
Ideal fantasy,
And realms of realist reality
Collide, as the breakwater
Washes away.
Crash shhh...
...Swish
shhh...
...Shhhh...
A sea breeze passes over
The vivid imagery.
A seagull passes overhead.
And the ebb and flow
Of the sea...
...Shhh...
...Swish
shhh...
...Shhhh...
As an eagle soars over
A canyon terrain.
Unlimited with only
Limitations of air,
Soars amidst its basking
Within
Forestry, and
Mountain, river-fresh-
Air
And the quietude
The innocence
And beauty
Remain pure.
Solemn like a flower,
Filling life with its beauty
And innocence,
As this silent flower
Waves in the wind,
And the wind across the waves
Picks up the scent of sea water
And it carries it home
Thousands of miles.
To the shore of sandy beaches
And distant reaches
And walks of life.
And this scent, is the notion of
Calmness
Silence
And of quietude. 12/02/2003 Posted on 01/11/2010 Copyright © 2025 Michael Defries
