She was anal retentive in such a sense
That absolutely made no sense to me.
I watched her move, ever so gracefully.
She acted as if this were her norm,
I assured her that I meant no harm.
She lived the days of her life in the past,
Somehow she felt that this would make them last.
I had waited until that very same time
When I had hoped that I could call her mine.
But, I wanted to live in the now, the present
Always with an eye open for the future.
One day soon, I know, it all comes to fruition,
This much is real, this, my intuition.
