Droplet Of Love - unedited

by Michael Defries

Held on, like a thread of hope,
Our love like a teardrop, that barely
Reaches the separation point.

It, as it separates, does not.
And comes back like an elastic, stretching its might,
Love rebounds a separation, in order to stay strong.

I have never seen anything like that,
And love comes to me, because I have asked.

I now know that its face and brilliant luminosity
Is the face of a water droplet never separating from the source.

Author's Note: I had a vision of the imagery of a raindrop on a leaf as love. So I attempted to describe it here as in this poem.
