armageddon

by Nanette Bellman

scientist find it hard to believe that you and i are able to coexist in the same galaxy together.
let alone, a supernova and a blackhole in the same zip code?
quite the anomaly.

if you want to pretend that what happened between us never did, by all means, go ahead.

but how i can no longer exist to you, blows my mind.
how you just write me off like i was never in your life,
like i never even lived at all.

because i've made waves on your life,
now ripples on the surface or currents underneath.

there are places you will go and things you will see
and in those things you will see me.
an image of me will take homage behind your eyes if only for a few seconds
and the light will project me, a memory, into your mind.

i am not amnesia and i refuse to be.
i refuse to be forgotten.
i won't make any effort because it will all be wasted.

as extraordinary as you think you are,
as one of a kind you might perceive yourself to be,
whatever special creature or being...

you are human.

feel.

Author's Note: i know that i'll have regrets but that's the price of one more lesson learned. - she wants revenge
