A Day Without End

by Michael Defries

The subtly of emotion in the air
Feeling of forgetfulness of the daily
A lackadaisical melancholic relaxation
That has take'th over'eth

We lay here under the sun, under our tree
Seeing all the many branches we hear its
Grace as the wind passes by

We watch our eyes gaze into possibility
Staring with so much adoration
For one another

My love, I call to you, let us lay here
Forever. I never want this day to end.
