She Swears She's A Bird

by Michael Defries

We walked in the park
Clouds parting in the sky
She made her way
To the swings.

These swings that you see
Small children playing on.

Push me she persuaded
She swayed like the trees

She was the trees.
The Wind
The Earth watched

As the leaves lay bed
A ground for her nature
Yet she swore smiling
That she was a bird.

But I am a bird you see...lovely, you truly captured the moment.
