There Is Nothing More to Do

by Joe Cramer

What now to do,
What more to say?
My mind is such a mess
On this mid-summer day.
Waiting forever for the time
When life finally falls in line
And your true heart can become mine.
What's going on?
Why is life like it is?
Is this to be my ultimate fate?
There is nothing more to do.

Why is life like it is?- the question that absorbs me every day.

This resonates deeply with the angsty teenager I used to be. Well, I still am a teenager, but these world-weary sentiments have been gone for a while. Yet the year or two that may have passed are nothing compared to your experience. I can only imagine what it must be like for you to look back upon this. Thank you for sharing.

I ask myself this question everyday of my life. Your writing is very clear and right to the point. Very well crafted....and a realist write. Very good job.
