Wielding Fire

by Michael Defries

We wield the fire
We shape the unknown
In our form

We bring forth great pride
In our work

We are skilled with
Our hands so soft

So skilled with simple tools
We harvest knowledge with our
Facial expressions

So skilled in the way
We show one another
Timed passion and comfort
Ease into the brim

The cup is full
To the top
Overflowing

With immense vibrations
As cascades of heart song

Bring the time of now
To the sorrow of before
And let it go, let it be
Sweet child

You are home in me
And we find it soon
We bring temples
Of imagination

Into the reality of now
And today we will soar.
