Writers Block by Kimberly BauerThoughts spin like a bingo wheel,
Madness, until something pops out.
Spins out...
rolls off the table and onto the floor.
racing to be the last one heard.
chatter creates consistency.
A normality that is fierce.
The monotonous clanging sound
when musings fight with fists.
Throws out a hip.
Falls into the dark.
The friction makes a spark
Just enough of a distraction
for your train of thought to fall apart.

| Posted by Michael Smith on 12/30/09 at 05:15 AM A habitual writer's worst nightmare I imagine, and I have to wonder if, with this piece, you've created a thought process to defeat it?
I really like the first and last stanzas, and the allusion to thoughts "spinning like a bingo wheel" is a powerful image. Well done!
