Forget Her, Come Back To Bed by Michael DefriesBut it is a cold
December afternoon
Frost
Coming off of my lips
Breathing fire out
With winding roads
Rotting with cold
Snow covered mountains
Forever reaching skies
Blizzards soon coming
On to your front lawn
Reaching for the counter
Intuitive testing of your
Brevity can be one walk
To one last temptation
Of perilous adventure
While you lay there in
The white beard of snow
The blinding caverns as
Your curiosity led you
To step into the winter
It fears your nature but
Preserves you like the
Arctic poles at dusk its
Scared it's so scared
Unfortunate, it's only a
Young one you shouldn’t
Have messed with. You
shouldn't have messed
With Her, Mother Nature
Yours not greater than
Hers
She has not forgotten
What you did to her
Cursing the very winter
Cold with your thoughts
You forget, you wither
Into a drunken slumber
It will save you rest
Sleep now, forget her
And come back to bed. 12/06/2009 Author's Note: I have no idea where this came from. So if you have any good suggestions please let me know.
