A Plea For Continuity by Michael DefriesLaying here awaiting the day that so softly
Brush your face with the back of my hand
Caressing your skin like liquid electricity
Powerful and graceful you perch your lips
In happiness and contentment as you smile
Your scent is faint and mellow falling off
My pillow from when you lay by my side
Soul to soul baring every naked essence
The oil of your fingertips saturating in the
Tiny strands of my hair like forming mist
Erotic and sexy you lay with your neglige
Wearing that heart shaped necklace found
On your silhouette with my homecoming
Remember the feeling as my hands impart
Upon your back and find your waist line
Sitting there seeing you sleep so peacefully
Knowing that you would be gone tomorrow
More than creature comfort you fulfill every
Serenity as the security of your body lay still
Watching reading the moments of last night
Looking at how your lips glisten in the dim
But persistent candle light needing to press
Upon them simply staring at me like some
Pure and elegant Greek Goddess statue
Sharing tangible beauty and magnificence
Worshiping your temple like pyramids watch
Your eyes meet the void as ecstatic tingling
Sensations on your spine move to your pelvis
As my smile reaches from country to continent
Encompassing you with my inner tantric bliss
Your faint scent slowly falling off my lips
Feeling residing beyond the depths of my
Viscera dropping gravity in my butterflies
Like drops entering trickling tracing along
Known paths to home where you belong
Lets make this go on until the oceans evaporate
The lakes dry up and trees wither and die until
The moon no longer rises and the sun forgets to
Set as all the stars pass us and wave because we
Remain as constant as a the memory of last night. 12/25/2009 Posted on 12/26/2009 Copyright © 2024 Michael Defries
