The Hunter that is Me

by Christopher Shin

My eyes pierce the
clouded sky with
its black and gray.

The burning lyrics
engulfs my soul.
All I can do is slam my fist
against the walls
in my mind.

I laugh hysterically
as madness drags
me into the hills.

My feet flickers
as I dash through
the chaos as
thickets and love
past me by.

I lunge as the shiny
black hilt slides
like a glove into my hand.

I aim and fire.
The wind screams like
a banshee for a moment
as I glare in horror.

My body falls to the floor
as I stare into my lifeless
eyes.
