Hindsight Through a Kaleidoscope by V. BlakePirates will one day be forced to wear suits,
and people will call them lawyers.
And no one--not even Robin Williams--
will appreciate the irony.
Of course, by that time,
no one will even know the meaning of the word.
They won't appreciate that irony, either. 12/15/2009 Author's Note: Alanis Morissette would have sucked at Jumanji.

Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 12/15/09 at 07:07 PM You hit the nail on the head (imho): Seems the law is a crude machine at best, and only spits out something approaching justice IF those involved are committed to justice. As lawyering has become less about doing right and more about doing what you can get away with, our standards of acceptable shenanigans-as-usual seem to be in a free fall. As for pirates: "lawyers are little more than pen-wielding cutthroats sailing on sheaves of legal-sized paper." Well done. Thanks. |
