Remember by Keith D AllisonColorado 1876, Preamble
We, the people of Colorado , with profound reverence for the Supreme Ruler of Universe...
when the wind blows cold and the days grow short
sometimes thinking of days of old
before the dark forest
grasped its hold
there were those who stood
with heart's
in the great chapel of trees
they played the songs of love
but the light now fade
worry lies deep within the branches
no peace, no peace to find
for they seek to silence the words
some to change others to corrupt
so few fear the great King
or know his peace today
May you hear, may you see
the breath of the season
wrapped in the arms of love
rewrite
Being renamed the Winter season
Remember
Colorado 1876, Preamble
We, the people of Colorado , with profound reverence for the Supreme Ruler of Universe...
when the wind blows cold and the days grow short
sometimes thinking of days of old
before the dark forest
grasped its hold
there were those who stood
with heart's
in the great chapel of trees
they played the songs of love
but the light now fade
worry lies deep within the branches
no peace, no peace to find
for they seek to silence the words
some to change others to corrupt
so few fear the great King
or know his peace today
Alas in my time the school bell did ring
we offered prayer and allegiance to our flags
today there is silence
the words we once read have changed
once there was a season
hearts to glow and smile like the Angels
Will your children's children remember its name
May you hear, may you see
the breath of the season
wrapped in the arms of love
