The Last One, I Promise...

by Nikki Benson

All I can do is breathe…

I’ve become addicted to you
When I don’t get you
My hands shake
There is overwhelming ache in my chest
I can’t focus

When did you become my lifeline?

Like any other drug that destroys as it soothes
The more I get you, the more I want you
The more I have you
The more I self-destruct
I’m imploding

But when you leave me
I can’t breathe
I can’t think

Please give me a fix
Just this last one
I’ll be okay if you just give me one more fix
This is the last one
I promise

Until my hands start to shake
I can’t breathe
I can’t think
Please just give me something for this pain…
Just one more…
Please
I’ll give you anything

I promise this is the last one

very emotional, I can feel the desperation seeping through the lines, like the addiction, well done:)
