The Fates

by Razel Davies

Sat upon a rock,
I sang.
Calling to angels,
My words rang.
In the distance,
A light was seen.
So far away,
The fates so mean.

Drifting,
Wandering,
Wondering why.
I catch a glimpse,
It’s gone by.
Mirage of beauty,
Siren of hope.
I only see you,
With a telescope.

Running upon the grass,
I shout.
Calling to destiny,
Words ring out.
In the distance,
A light was seen.
Now it’s gone,
The fates so mean.
