I sat alone,
I dried my tears.
The light came in,
Brought back my fears.
In this loneliness,
A spirit broken.
Search everywhere,
For a love token.
But upon my hand,
A scar so deep.
A reminder of loss,
I wish not to keep.
The song in my heart,
the darkest tune.
To this desolation,
I wish i was immune.

But out there,
Beyond my sight,
There sits another,
Oh so bright.
When i see her,
My heart lifts high.
For the promise of tomorrow,
No more need to cry.
