drawn to the flame by Charlie Morgani learned so much in my career;
the elevators are slow, people
too. where they are located
is not where they actually are.
it must have snuck in while i's changing.
all this cool weather, rain, blustery wind;
so i had to rewind the weather;
have to make sure it's still today.
a long ago winter is coming;
it's dressed as Mei Mei and Kai;
kids waiting as we did, once.
a Holy Grail is Christmas.
Christmas brought by kid-dreams.
we toss happiness back and forth,
like two poets writing each other.
we are stick-men being drawn
to the flame by loveliness of life.

| Posted by Kris Mara on 12/03/09 at 11:45 PM I kept wanting to quote this line and then that line and found myself reading down the page nodding in agreement and understanding...which is the point after all, no? What I'm trying to say, and doing it poorly, is that this is a rich, full read that I enjoyed so much :) |
