Today I read you by Keith D AllisonLonging
for that something
to touch
to give back the breath to the mind
Almost
Yes
almost flattering… in your words
I found sweetness and beauty of that, that un-traveled road
Yes
Almost
I found that taste of life, itself
Almost in the seed of your muse
And I shall drift
into a world a pleasant dreams
provoke in wonders of thoughts caught by the pen
though I was not decent enough to leave a comment
surely, may the water of your muse continued to flow
that those of us who travel in silence, may know the joy of your words
The sweetness of a smile
the wetness upon are cheek
so may you know that like the warmth of the Sun
you are appreciated
scribbled on a poet, scribbled on

Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 11/19/09 at 07:42 PM Gratitude is one of the sweet shortcuts to finding peace of mind and happiness inside. No matter what's going on outside of us, there's always something we could be grateful for. Every poet here should feel this is for them, and each poet here should feel this is FROM them. Wonderful point of view, Keith, very healthy, seems to me. Thanks. |
