a November romance by Charlie Morgansurprisingly, things were flowing well;
some switch always is off or on; between.
that's November: can't make up her mind.
from the day of oxygen outside the placenta,
all the way to now, 63, November's toyed
with the Gregorian calendar; new moon?
how about cold?
would that do?
cold, warm, both?
the day was idling, near listless;
heavy with teen-age angst with eyes
for the evening of adulthood.
a November of hunting colors, for some,
for others will be stepping on rainbows.
surrounded by decaying boyhood dreams.
at breakfast i ate all the world's problems;
belched eras as they drove through my mind.
i washed it down with childish ideas, goals.
i was able to grin again; see old friends as new.
i had a coin from Mexico; a globe; both a teaching tool.
i teach Kai about the world; show him Mexico, China;
then we're off ... to new words; worlds.

| Posted by Timothy Wilson on 11/20/09 at 03:03 AM I added this to my favorite poems for the reason that i like it n stuff. but serioulsy I read it and had a weird not Déjà feeling persay but the relaxing melodic feeling of familiarity that comes from a lot of things that truly are favored by me.... for a writer, I suck at explaining myself... nice poem though!!! (:^P) |

Anyone able to do this is in "light-years", love.
Zooming abundant-life poem! |
