Speaking in the eve, a conversation
Bringing such sweet joy, early in the night.
Wondering where the words go, with elation
And how things will turn out, hopefully right.
These are the things that I am looking for,
This moment, this opportunity, this chance.
It is such a time that I so adore
The possibility of a romance.
Who knows where the conversation will lead
From words that bring to my face such a smile?
In being true to my heart, words do heed
Knowing that one day soon, after awhile
Conversations lead to a joy given.
In the time that we have, time of living.
