Sarcasm ?? by Keith D Allison
It began in December long-ago
In the days before my time
there was mutilate
in the world
holding hands with death
flirting with the beauty
of life
a young girl looks out across the plain
a telegram in her hand
falling to her knees
begging that the war would end
soon the war did cease
in the of days continuity
they prayed for peace
but there were those who thought
that the myths of man should cease
in the separation they declared
God is dead
unsteady feeling once again…
trembling in the uneasy peace
no word to speak
the name
as they stand before the holiday tree
They're changing the meanings
so that the children may know
once more the hands that
bring destruction and blood
long may they reign
