She sips a glass of wine
Smiling at me over the rim.
I love the sharing of this smile
We talk, laugh, as this joy begins.
The moments together are far too few,
Living in the day, into the evening
I so love the myriad of things we do
Though it breaks my heart, upon the leaving.
She softly savors a glass of wine
I love this, so forever fine.
