Those Who Take

by Alison McKenzie

The Sun is a forgiving orb,
Ever Brilliant in execution of friction,
Ever Wise in matters of consequence.

The Moon is gracious in repose,
Instant Humility radiating to other planets,
Icy Chill of forbearance never-ending.

There are those who take
Without ever knowing
They, themselves, are vessels void.

They cannot pay with innocence.

I cannot teach them.

...ali, i too love this special/spatial pome and the friction of the sun and then the coolness o' the moon, i know why garth likes it: it is much in this vein he writes...lovely waltz on our flattened, spread-out existence in the Milky Way.
