From The Moment We Met

by Peggie Eng

From the moment we met I felt something between us connect.
It was more than just a physical sense, it was more mentally intense.
It was quite a while before I felt your lips on mine and your touch so devine,
by that time, just your presence left me weak and out of breath with emotions I can't reflect.
Yes, I have loved you from the first time I saw you, your blue eyes, the square of your chin, and your dimpled grin.
It was as if God made you for me, now it does'nt seem meant to be.
I've been here all along, just waiting for you to make me your own.
But there seems to be something that has kept us apart, does another have your heart?
Have I just been a substitute?
Someone who just won't do?
Has my love been all in vain?
My love is strong, not to be given to the first or the next one to comes along.
The mold has been cast, and you my love hold the other half,
From the moment we met.

Keep the faith. Love does come to those who can wait it out, I'm with my first love after 46 years. I hope your love sees the beauty in your love soon. Hang in there Baby.
