Insomnia

by Peggie Eng

In what torment do I lay alone, without the warmth of his
flesh on mine.
Slumber won't come and sweet dreams are none.
Alone I lay on my cold slab of a bed, only thoughts of him
in my head.
Oh how I wish it would rain and wash away my pain.
Let the drops run over me, cleanse my soul and make me whole again.
