To A- by Rachel BennettHe's in the hospital again -
Wonder what he did this time:
Always chasing himself around lonely trees;
Elmer Fudd meets Kirchner meets the end of the line.
I wish he could stop and see himself,
Always running.
Never moving.
Maybe stopping long enough to apologize
For what someone did to him,
Possibly ceasing in order to explain away his worth,
Perhaps resting so that he can hate
Everything about himself,
Always thinking.
Never healing. 11/04/2009 Author's Note: This may not have much poetic merit, but I needed to write it.
