we deem as potentially harmful by Johnny CrimsonMy faith was killed by a god.
A carcinogenic crush from the sky.
For we are the leaves that fall
and flail and do nothing, and this
is the night of sticky fingers
and swishy sounds.
We are the fucking hopeless.
Where's the frozen girl I came here with?
She had that button nose
and a side-of-the-face smile.
The snowman leaked into the street
mostly his scarf remained left by a kid who's now kidnapped
and forgotten.
plus stick arms
+ 2 button eyes.
The dream of reason snapped
and popped into motion
as the streetlights leaked a neon blue gas that
we all huffed and grew weightless and floated
out of this human traffic jam into the open sky,
and I found her again.
Hidden in the filigree of malevolence
,that twisted vine of lust and death
lay my dignity, shrouded deep within the pages
of a journal never written
about a girl that only seldom existed.
Head half cocked toward the sky,
fuck me eyes on me, loose strands of
hair that wouldn't stay in her ponytail
float in front of her face.
And on and on the illusion goes Sean.
Go the fuck to sleep.

| Posted by A. Paige White on 10/24/09 at 05:52 PM Ok, a confession up front on this. Just due to how wonderful it is to see you active on the forum, I stopped by to give you another read. Part of me, the part older than 40 wants to say, get the $#%@ over it, Sean. But.
The part of me that never gets older, just finds more reasons to laugh at all of us says
dude
It will get better.
Just hang on. |
