she waits outside the obvious
one step behind.
watching from the perimeter
as she often does,
not engaged
but rather quietly
observing.
taking notes,
without a word
shared,
no need.
her world is one where dreams reside
inside her mind
where she is free.
where she can soar with the best of them
the rest of them
who stare
at her present predicament.
they don't understand
and never ask
why she's bound
and forever changed.
she turns her chair
and rolls away
up the ramp that reads,
accessible....
