The Break Up

by Christopher Shin

So I drink a little,
and you tell me that
I drink more then usual.

Sadly I grab the bottle,
because of how you twist
the top of my heart.

And I try to forget the
way you torment the
very essence of my soul.

Slowly I dance around
the tragedy you make me
feel every moment I stand
next to you.

You slam the glass against
the wall as you yell at me
about how you feel.

I tell you I understand,
but you say I don't at
that every moment I see
that blindness in your eyes,
and explode.

Debris of your tears
makes me feel the worst
moments in this acidic world.

I try to hug you,
but you yell at me
with the venom of
retort.

And you leave me yesterday..
