[Library] I Can't See Your Face by Nikki RiceI feel for you
like I felt for them;
I've felt it for
some other men.
In the now, my heart
is the worst mess,
though I know it's the same,
no more, no less.
But today,
you occupy a space;
you make the others
seem like waste.
They were scared
to love me, anyway;
where you give,
they only made me pay.
When I think of you,
I can't see your face!
But I know your eyes,
your skin, your taste...
I can see your parts,
but they're not complete;
I'm so overwhelmed -
you're too much for me.
In my head,
you've become this entity -
so big, so great,
too mammoth to see.
I want to trust that
you're all there,
but I've never had faith;
it feels so bare.
I'm trying real hard,
I need you to wait;
I'll get there soon,
but I might be late.
I wish I could buy back
the woman they stole -
part of me is missing,
I hope that you're whole. 10/15/2009 Author's Note: Maybe a song... written about the same man that inspired "Atomic Coffee," "Dear Sir," and "The One." I think he's officially my greatest muse of 2009.
