consultants, hmmmm?

by Charlie Morgan

the day had it's wheels off;
hard to move; so i pushed.
still couldn't catch the lover's moon,
even the man who lives on the moon.

now the day's on its own;
i give it no help, me now
i need assistance; seems
my boss wants my opinion.

what line should i walk?
one that is true to me,
or the one where i lie,
then follow my own path.

no one will believe that the day
started with no wheels; ergo,i'm
reticent to speak lest the King
might not like to be seen naked.

so i assume my position of smiling,
and acting as though i were wrong;
just one way to get thru the system.
i may be the only caring heart here.

no wait. i know one more, two is company.
one, lonely or at least lonesome. i sigh.

I say be true to yourself, because you have to live with yourself in the end!
