misunderstanding me by Charlie Morganpens, pencils, papers, desk, phone;
all the things that pick & nip at me;
i can't shut them up, one wants
answered, others scribble help!
my office was all a-roar when i got in;
seems it had been reading my e-mail;
it stifled itself when i entered; respect,
i thought, then i knew it was tired of me.
today's current crossword calls out to me;
shhhh! i whisper. i'm having fun over here.
it says nothing, stays folded, remains blank.
fiesta today to celebrate Hispanic Heritage;
i walk the building looking for celebrants.
all i see: a lot of happy Mexican students .
every move i make, i wince;
results are never favorable,
i'm saying nine, they hear six.
