Earnestly by Joe CramerSo earnestly I sit and view,
Waiting for the day to begin.
The minutes pass slowly by
As the time stands still.
A quiet stirring in the trees
Lifts the morning air once more.
Slowly the sunrises, as if a chore
Doing little else than such a breeze
That drifts around as it will.
Softly the sun rises on high,
So earnestly I wait for the end
Of night, these moments are so few. 10/06/2009 Posted on 10/06/2009 Copyright © 2026 Joe Cramer

| Posted by Shannon McEwen on 10/06/09 at 09:18 PM The end of night does come! I like this, the only line I'm not sure about is "time stands still" I think if you can up with a fresher line it would strengthen your words even more, |
