Where Does Time Go? by Alison McKenzieCan anyone tell me,
Where does Time go?
Does it simply mark the passage of moments?
Is it energy, Time?
I don’t know.
I only know that
Last year seems like yesterday,
And by the time I’ve got a plan for tomorrow,
It’s long since been.
Maybe it starts as music,
Like the universe,
And after we’re through roughing it up,
It turns into music again.
Maybe it’s just a cosmic loop
Repeating on the backbeat
Of giocoso harmonies,
Dolcissimo dissonance -
The long, slow fade
Of echoes.

Posted by Charlie Morgan on 10/06/09 at 01:38 PM ... my dear, time doesn't go anywhere, but we sure think it does, it's our narcissism, the world being about us, we think 'time left us' ... i know you know all this, i'm just sayin'... |
Posted by George Hoerner on 10/06/09 at 08:46 PM A really nice write Alison. I think time is one of those things that philosophers have yet to define in any reasonable manner. But what you've put down here will suffice for most of us. |
Posted by Shannon McEwen on 10/06/09 at 09:28 PM ha, and now it's October once again, it seems like yesterday I found out I was pregnant with my third and he's already 15 months old! Time is like an old friend, you forget about them but every once in a while you get a Christmas card in the mail and think "Wow, that time already?" |
