It was quite simply
A very nice evening
I commented briefly
As we were both leaving.
The air was still
A soft melody playing
Wafting past window sill
As I wrote this saying
That my mind is never quiet,
Going every which way.
So in this mindless riot
I simply enjoy the day.

Author's Note: ... I took Emily to see the play "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde... she so enjoys live theatre, as do I.....
