I view the morning sun
Riising quietly in east's
Sky at start of day.

Slowly it warms me,
Pale on Atlantic Ocean.
Dimly, in new day.

Warmly, this star grows
As golden orb now rises,
Illuminating.

The heat of day now
Gives light to a quiet warmth.
This day, now at noon.

The shadows now fall
As afternoon draws nigh.
Night is coming soon.

Slowly the sun sets
Over Gulf of Mexico
At this end of day.

The stars shine faintly
As night hastens into view
The long day is done.

Author's Note: ... a haiku series... Florida is one of those places where you can easily view the sunrise and sunset on the different coasts on the same day..... I love doing romantic things like this.....
