A Road to Friendship

by Christopher Shin

Cobble stones that
line the floor with
broken cracks
spiderwebbing through
the edges.

And when friends meet
the two crosses hold
and bind with souls
longing for understanding.

Yet when a friend dies
the pieces shatter and
worn roads break through
all through out the world.

Only I chose to walk away
from all the sudden pain.
I stagger in the miss matched
free ways.

I feel like the skies
can not bleed for me.
Not even a drop of rain,
only salted tears
spring forth from
my own two worlds as
my eyes can only
blink them away.
