Become aware of

by Keith D Allison

Tonight's paintings
no more
to fill

Drifting on shadows now
Nothing left to hold the breath, of the shell
remembered when the sun fell
into the sea
the phosphorus wave made a trail
of the moment
as if there was
an accomplishment
to know the breath
of one more day
to be wrapped into the warmth of flesh
just to savor the reflections
one more time
as if love had meaning
as if there was a soul in the eyes that distinguish
although in depth of the fantasy
you'll be glad to see the warm of the ground covers me
the breath still dream
of the fantasy
of the warmth of thee
the painting is empty
so empty

All the voids that need filling, and refilling. This is beautiful. Thanks.
