thinking about thinking

by Charlie Morgan

a misty morning lightly tapped my shoulders
i huddled-up, scrunched my neck down;
then looked up and belly laughed, 'cause
i knew sunshine was just around the bend.

i'll use Saturday with loved ones,
making flint for tomorrow's use;
forecast: wet, cool and damp.
Sunshine's on a week's vacation.

thunder roiling the silent skies
from the doldrums of floating;
homeless but for our horizons.
they're hidden behind the clouds.

the lost and found office
had me listed as missing;
when i was just hiding.
looking for a crack of sunshine.

maybe an autumn day was misfiled;
'cause it arrived early this morning,
it's gonna stay til tomorrow.
then, back to the calendar.

then i scrutinized it all.
everything was upside down;
ticket-takers had become
ticket-givers; yin yang; i you.

The beauty of Tao, in constant motion to the ocean. The Sun's not on vacation, it's just momentarily unavailable to your moment.
