Sounds are longer at end of day
As gathering shadows get in the way
Of the twilights soft glistening gloom.
Night comes on now, far too soon.
The days pass now so very quickly
As shadows deepen, so thickly.
This is the crux of the Southern winterland
Easy enough for any to understand.
