This Day Begins

by Joe Cramer

This day begins, as any other one
Lightly, slowly, beginning a new life.
Watching soft coming of this eastern sun
All becomes real, all becomes very right.
Clouds march majestically across the sky
Lining up serenly in this same dance.
As time moves so slowly, this time on high.
Life affords opportunity, this chance.
Shadows hasten to their same shortened end
Dancing around the grey sullen heaven.
Semblance in movement, something in the plan.
This is the morning that is now given.
As light hastens in such early morning
Life dances quietly, so disarming.

This is lovely... I feel as though I am there on the beach watching the sunset.
