I Knew I Loved You

by Maude Curtis

As you lay in your crib, so helpless and small,
I gaze at your tiny face and my heart fills with love.
As the song goes, "I Knew I Loved You",
but never in a million years would I know how much.

You are a part of me, 2 generations past,
With each baby breath you take I feel the love grow.
My son. Your Grandfather, My Granddaughter, Your Mother,
We are all a part of God's miracle of life.

As you go through your life, you can count on Mimi,
What ever you need, What ever you want.
I will move Heaven and Earth to get it for you.
You are what makes life worth living.

Evan Jeffery Coy, You are our miracle.
We will love you and protect you with our dying breath.
My first Great Grandson, one of many, I hope.
I Knew I Loved You, Before I Met You.
