Granada

by Eric Hinkle

bustling peaceful cobblestoned
streets
fresh constant camaradarie
sun streaming splashes of
beam-sun
Green-turqoise blanca brown
Tapas y Alhambras
sandía y Estrella
stationary pasted, painted-on
cumulous and dead, wispy
stirrus
Tiled sidewalks and
wild skin-stalks
Hands held everywhere,
young and old
Labyrinthed strolls, no
bugs & no colds
No worry, no boredom, no
empty stomach
Smiles and chit-chat
Weak plumbing, no shit shat
And a strange dialect
where they take off
S´s and change ll´s to j´s.
Walk, stroll & hike
Blister, sweat & tire
Laugh, wonder & look
Everywhere.
