"Unrebuilt" by Max PhineasI love the way we fell apart
without explosion
little debris
we fell like snow
from the same cloud
irreconcilably different
and doomed to melt away.
we were a crack in the wall
fated to spiderweb and collide in corners
until foundations crumbled and we followed suit.
but we fell beautifully
because there's little you can do
that wouldn't be radiant. 08/30/2009 Author's Note: This was inspired by the first line, which I heard spoken in a completely unrelated context.
