heart to soul brain to mind

by Matthew Sharp

it's apparant im barbaric
noises in my head you should hear it
like an audience cheering jeering
seething for more expand explore
dropping seeds to proceed the heriditary chore
theyre screaming for blood with love
dragging my facial expression through the mud
the worlds teaching me a lesson im guessing
all the choices have me stressin my selection
none of the above creating a legend
faith give me your blessing
even if its only me that can see what ive come to be
i hurry up and wait grow patience to learn to appreciate
take nothing for granted
i hope its not too late to take this seed and plant it
in the garden we can share dirt
for what its worth since birth i value beauty
i relate it to the earth maturing through the universe
and you know how much it hurts to observe you through our words
ide like to emerge from its cage of lies
that try to point to the truth i find in the roof of our mind
which makes that another lie there is no roof
i do me but when you do you i can barely see past the glass
the windows smashed
a metaphor i wrote this to explore
i dont know if we could ever see eye to eye or back to back
sometimes i just wanna say nevermind
welcome grey skies no sunshine a friend sometime cant depend wont rely
and if i lose you to a trend it feels like im watching you die
heart to soul brain to mind
and with no remote control we're forced to approach the whole
do you have the serenity for that kind of intimacy
im afraid of whats at stake
because betrayal turns love into passionate hate
after that its too late but better to try and almost die
so far the bullets and scars put stars on my chest
fought and survived set the barr on the rest

This is the rap you need to put to a beat.

You had to have been through some hell to write this excellent. And you are gifted, so gifted.
