Beacon Purple Redeemer

by James Zealy

Purple redeemer Beacon bright
Allay and assist next step's plight
Purloin misery replace with faith
Bludgeoned soul's appeaser place

Worth and esteem heals purple face
Enlighten consume, destruct old fates
Fragile and frail feminine careen
Bloodstone of Christ's wound serene

Purple redeemer beacon bright
Illuminate hate savior's light
Maroon banded symbolic bastion
Willowy victims companion

Maroon banded Lighthouse bright
Purple redeemer beacon bright

Author's Note: I wrote this in support of what is called the Lighthouse Project here at work. Our group has decided to help a group that supports battered women. We will be building a lighthouse, patterned after the Morris Island lighthouse in Charleston Harbor, which coincidently enough is in the middle of a savior project of its own. For those of you that don't know, purple is the symbol of violence against women, and maroon is a part of BB&t's corporate image.

I like this, all except for the word victim. Just a personal note, I guess.
