world is down by Keith D AllisonWe've all felt the pain
the moaning in the chest
the emptiness
that sadness that walks in time
not sure why it's here
maybe it's the shortness
of the road
The evening storm
has brought a coolness
and a sweet fragrance to the air
hear the freight train in the distance
it's whispering your name
feel the ground trembles beneath your feet
need to rest the eyes
to place the mind in the quiet waters
to forget the un-acquired dreams
tomorrow, tomorrow
will the Robin rise
to feel the sun
the world is down
feel the unfamiliar sounds

Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 08/15/09 at 06:02 PM To change is to be vulnerable. And to be vulnerable is to be alive. Everything changes, so choose a firm cloud before it falls, catch it quick, it will change soon enough, too. Another heartfelt write from you, and much appreciated. Thanks. |
